I was born in Moçambique, then when I was five I went to South Africa were I lived for about three years. At this time my father got a job in Macau so me and my family went to Macau. I lived there for about seven years after which my father thought of coming to Portugal because of the family we have here. I have been here since then. After high school I took a digree on Animal Production in a city called Beja. Because of differente reasons I never had a job in this area. With relation to starting to work with papier máchê, I have to say that I always had a knack for all that has to do with working with the hands, so papier máchê came naturally. I´ve been working with papier máchê form some years now and because of not having studied art I had to learn by trail and error how to work papier máchê as well as a can. Every time I make a new piece I learn a little bit more. I think that it is the most gratifying parte of working with this wonderfull material.
